The Polish Press Agency Tourist Information Website offers the distribution of information related to events in tourism industry among media, journalists and everyone interested in tourism.
Press releases are delivered with the PAP Daily Information Service to editorial offices of the biggest general-information media, both country-wide and regional ones - newspapers, radio and television broadcasting stations. They are sent to industry magazines and portals as well as to internet pages of the PAP Tourist Information Website, the PAP Original Text Service, as well as partner portals devoted to tourism. Together with the newsletter, they are also delivered to many entities operating on the Polish tourism market as well as individuals working in the tourism industry or interested in tourism. The Challenge:
Creation of a dynamic information portal, supplied with data entered through a user-friendly CMS as well as through Kwazar - the internal PAP news publication system.
The Solution:
A website was created based on Plone CMS. The latest version of Plone 3 was used with additional modules:
- Singing & Dancing – for newsletter processing
- File System Storage - for file system based storage of multimedia and binary files, instead of an object database
- Plone Article - based on the Article type, the Depesza type was built with the addition of new fields
- FCKeditor - used as a WYSIWYG editor
